Workforce Scheduling Coordinator

Help keep the right people in the right place - at the right time - for communities that matter.

Country Connect Foundation works alongside communities across East and West Arnhem and the Tiwi Islands delivering disability, youth and homelessness supports.

Our work is real, remote and often complex - and it only works when our workforce is coordinated well.

We’re looking for someone who can bring structure, calm and clarity to that complexity.

At Country Connect Foundation, we value:
Care. Consistency. Community. Connection. Client-focused.

This is a 12-month contract, with flexibility around hours to suit individual circumstances. Please note that this role does not include housing.

About the role

This is not just a rostering job.

You’ll sit at the centre of operations - making sure:

  • shifts are filled

  • staff are where they need to be

  • travel is organised

  • documentation is accurate

  • and emerging risks don’t get missed

You’ll be coordinating:

  • day-to-day rosters

  • FIFO/DIDO travel (flights, accommodation, logistics)

  • workforce coverage across remote programs

  • shift notes and service records

  • real-time changes and challenges

You’ll also be one of the first people to see patterns, risks and wins coming through from the frontline.

What you’ll be doing

  • Building and managing rosters across multiple programs

  • Coordinating staff travel (flights, accommodation, remote logistics)

  • Supporting Return to Country trips and outreach delivery

  • Managing last-minute and frequent changes

  • Reviewing shift notes for quality, risks and follow-up actions

  • Supporting staff to use systems (ShiftCare) and complete documentation properly

  • Attending meetings to stay across participant needs

  • Flagging risks early and escalating where needed

  • Picking up trends, insights and good stories from the work

What we’re looking for

You don’t need to come from a perfect background - but you do need to be someone who can hold a lot at once and stay steady.

We’re looking for someone who:

  • has experience in rostering, coordination or operations

  • is highly organised and detail-focused

  • can problem-solve quickly when things change (because they will)

  • communicates clearly and respectfully with a diverse workforce

  • is comfortable working across remote logistics and travel coordination

  • can identify risks and act early

  • is confident supporting others with systems and expectations

Experience in NDIS, community services or remote delivery is highly regarded.
