We are seeking a FIFO Support Worker to join our team in Nhulunbuy, with regular travel to Galiwin’ku, supporting both female and male participants in our Wellbeing Program.

About the role
This role is ideal for a Support Worker based in Nhulunbuy who is available to travel regularly to Galiwin’ku as part of their ongoing support work.
The primary purpose of this position is to walk alongside individuals and support them in doing the things that are meaningful to them. This may at times require creativity, flexibility, and a culturally responsive approach to best support each person’s unique goals and preferences.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide individual support, including personal care, meal preparation, and assistance with daily living tasks
Facilitate community engagement activities, such as cultural outings, social events, and our regular breakfasts and women’s and men’s group activities in Galiwin’ku
Assist with return-to-country initiatives and on-country bush trips, ensuring supports are delivered safely and respectfully
Support clients in residential settings, maintaining a safe, respectful, and comfortable environment
Work collaboratively with therapists, allied health professionals, families, and community organisations
Maintain accurate client records and adhere to all Country Connect policies and procedures
Safely navigate remote and rugged environments, including 4WD travel where required

Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-cultural team
Aptitude for creating connection
Strong communication skills and ability to build positive relationships
Lived experience in disability, caregiving, or community work is highly valued
Experience working in remote communities and cultural awareness (highly desirable)
4WD driving skills and confidence in off-road travel (highly desirable)
Experience in disability support, aged care, youth work, or community engagement (preferred)
Requirements
Valid NT Driver’s License
Working with Children Check (Ochre Card)
NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
First Aid & CPR Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
